GGBet Sports Review
Take a visit to GGBet and two of the words likely to pop into your mind about this sports betting service are “clean” and “tidy.” With an efficient system of icons and menus, plus a design scheme that is easy on the eyes overall, GGBet must surely rank as one of the best laid-out sportsbooks on the web: there is precious little chance of you ever getting lost.
But design is only part of the story when we are judging a sports betting site. What are the games that you can choose from when you place your bets, in terms of both physical games and esports? How are live games covered? What bonuses and promotions does the site run, and are they as generous as they seem on the outside? Will your preferred payment method be accepted for deposits and withdrawals, or will you be stuck unable to get your winnings? And finally, does the site have a customer support team who you can get in touch with if you happen to run into technical problems while placing your bets? Our GGBet review shall explain all that you need to know about this sports betting site.
What Sports Are Available At GGBet Sports?
Our GGBet review can confirm that the site covers a wide range of different games. The big games like basketball, soccer (including beach soccer), tennis, baseball, ice hockey and American football are all present and correct; alongside them are MMA, cricket, volleyball, table tennis, Rugby Union, handball, squash, biathlon, motorsport boxing, Australian rules football, darts, badminton, floorball, futsal and horse racing.
There is also a “specials” section for non-sport-related events, although this is somewhat limited: at the time of writing, the only event listed is the 2024 presidential election. Next, we have the esports, which are included alongside the physical sports in the same line-up. GGBet turns out to cover a good selection of electronic games: as well as the standard Dota 2, League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, plus esports versions of football and basketball (namely FIFA and NBA 2K18), you can bet on Starcraft I and II, Rainbow Six, World of Tanks, Fortnite, Halo, Hearthstone, Call of Duty, Smite, Battlegrounds, King of Glory, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Brawl Stars, Rocket League and WarCraft III. In short, if there is a game that you are eager to bet on, you are likely to find it at GGBet.
GGBet Sports Bonus, Promotions and Free Bets
The bonus system at GGBet is overwhelmingly seasonal. The site prefers to come up with a promotion, run it for a set period, and then replace it with a new offer. Some of the bonuses will be tied to specific sporting events, while others are looser in focus: for example, the site once held a promotion using the chicken from the game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as a mascot, but the offer was not specifically related to this game. You can see the latest promotions by visiting the site’s bonus page, although be warned that this will also list promotions that have ceased. As a general rule, you can expect to find a mixture of cashback offers, deposit bonuses, free bets, bet insurance and esport tournaments.
How Do I Bet On GGBet?
The GGBet sportsbook uses the standard layout that can be found across most other online sports betting services, so if you are familiar with the territory, you should be able to find your way around. Choose a game from the menu and you will be shown a list of current events; if you prefer, you can click a tab that will show only live or upcoming matches. Each game has a set of possible outcomes displayed; choose the outcome that you would like to bet on, and it will be added to your virtual betslip. You can add as many bets to the slip as you choose. From here, all you need to do is follow the onscreen instructions to place your bets. On the whole, the betting process is a commendable example of how GGBet is designed: even if you are a complete newcomer to the world of online sports betting, you should be able to follow the instructions given to you with ease and make exactly the bet that you are hoping to make.
GGBet Sports Betting Odds
Any responsible sports betting service will make the relevant odds clearly visible. GGBet is no exception: when you choose where to place your bets, you will see the odds of each outcome clearly displayed. You will also be able to tally up the collective odds as you add multiple bets to your virtual betslip. We should, of course, include the caveat that even the best-designed gambling site will still be dealing with games of chance: GGBet will show you the odds, but it will not be able to tell you whether or not to make a bet; it is entirely down to you to decide where the odds are good enough to justify taking the risk (and make no mistake, there will always bea risk in sports betting, even if the odds are well in your favor).
GGBet Sports App and Mobile Betting
GGBet has a dedicated mobile app that is compatible with both Android and Apple devices. Head to the relevant page of the site, click “download,” install the app and you will be ready to go (note that the app is also available directly from both the Apple and Google Play stores, if you prefer to download it from these outlets). Even if you opt out of installing the app, you should find the mobile version of the GGBet sportsbook easy enough to navigate.
The site’s decision to use a unique icon for each and every game it covers (including the esports), and the chunky layout of its sportsbook, means that it adapts well to the small screen. Of course, given the amount of information that is squeezed onto the sportsbook, players viewing the site on particularly small devices may have trouble making out a few details; but this problem is almost unavoidable when translating sports betting sites to mobile. On the whole, GGBet does as good a job as you could reasonably hope for when translating its service to reduced scale — with the one caveat, discussed later in our review, of issues with the live chat function.
GGBet Sports Live Betting
Regrettably, GGBet currently has no live streaming service. While it does have a “live” section, this simply covers matches that are presently taking place as opposed to upcoming matches. Players who prefer to bet on a game as they watch it will be disappointed by this oversight — unless, of course, they are watching the game through a different service while they use the GGBet Sportsbook. This is an area in which GGBet could use some improvement.
Deposit and Withdrawals at GGBet
A pleasing variety of payment methods are available for you when you start your GGBet sports betting journey. If you are the sort who prefers making transactions by credit card, then you can choose between Visa and MasterCard. Alternative methods, meanwhile, are Neteller, Skrill, EcoPayz, QiWi, WebMoney and MuchBetter. Note that all of the aforementioned methods can be used for both deposits and withdrawals; direct bank transfer can also be used for withdrawals but not deposits, while Sofort, EPS, Euteller, Paysafecard and Zimpler can be used for deposits but not withdrawals. The minimum deposit sum is set at $10; in most cases the maximum will be $2000, unless you are using QiWi (capped at $200) or Paysafecard (which has a maximum of $50). The “payment methods” page of the site gives a dairoly detailed summary of each option and the restrictions that come with it, allowing you to make an informed choice when you send through your first deposit (and, if you are lucky, when you withdraw your winnings).
GGBet Sports Customer Support
When it comes to customer support, we have mixed feelings to report in our GGBet review. The site purports to have a 24/7 live chat function, and when viewed in desktop format, a tab linking to this feature floats at the left of the screen; but try as we might, we were unable to activate the chat by clicking the tab (we used Chrome). Meanwhile, the tab failed to appear at all when we accessed the site on a mobile device. In short, we were completely unable to access the live chat; this is the single biggest flaw in the otherwise excellent website design that we found when writing our review. On the positive side, the site also has an email address — [email protected] — so if you are, like us, shut out of live chat, you at least have another means of getting in touch. Also included is a dedicated “complaints” page where you can type your concerns into a text field, with a drop-down menu allowing you to specify the nature of your complaint (bonuses, gameplay, payments, verification, technical issues, security).
Do We Recommend GGBet for Sports Betting?
Like just about any other sports betting service out there, GGBet Sports has its positive points and its negatives.
If we can get the negatives out of the way, we can conclude that we are unimpressed with the technical issues preventing us from accessing the 24/7 live chat feature, and also with the lack of streaming video on the live games.
These negatives, however, should be weighed up against the positive aspects of GGBet, which are considerable. The site is a masterclass in layout, with everything that you could need available to you within a few clicks; it works just as well in desktop and mobile formats, and also has a dedicated app for those who favor placing bets while on the go. There is a wide variety of different games for you to place bets on, with the sight particularly going all-out in covering esports: often neglected titles are included alongside the big hitters. The bonus system is pleasing, and no matter when you log in, you are sure to find a few promotions running. A good range of payment methods are accepted for both deposits and withdrawals; and while our complaints about the live chat still stand, you will at least have both a support email and a complaints form to use if you need to get in touch. All in all, GGBet is a sportsbook with plenty to offer.
